Via Silvan Agius, Policy & Programmes Officer at the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA): A reminder that Scholarship Applications for the Trans Rights Conference: Putting Trans Rights on the European Agenda are open until the end of this week (7 August 12:00 midday CET).

No late applications can be accepted.

The conference is scheduled to take place in Malta on 28th October 2009 and the focus is on the European Institutions and their programmes to tackle discrimination of transgender people during the coming years. Both the Council of Europe and the European Union have been invited.

Note: The Trans Rights Conference is a pre-conference to the ILGA-Europe XIII Annual Conference that will take place in the same venue between 29 October – 1 November 2009, under the theme “Overcoming Religious and Cultural Barriers to LGBT Equality”. Those who wish to attend this conference may do so by following the registration/scholarship process as described on the ILGA website – link here.
